In 2022 we are seeking to take the Senior Choir for the duration of the trip, the Intermediate Choir for 2 nights, and the Children’s Choir (made up of Children’s Choirs Central, East and West) for 1 night. Members from all 5 choirs will have an opportunity to perform on the international stage which is incredibly exciting!
Young people will take part in daily warm-ups and rehearsals in the chapel at Loretto, will flyer and advertise their show throughout Edinburgh (with close support and supervision), will perform outside on the Royal Mile and will have an opportunity to see shows themselves. Previously we have also performed on the BBC stage and at other prestigious events, and we hope to do this again in 2022.
It will be an incredibly busy schedule, but one that I know young people will relish. Performances in previous years have received fantastic reviews.
This life changing opportunity comes at a significant cost, but it is one that we feel
is worth fighting for, and we will do all we can to raise the funds we need to make this trip a reality for our young people. Our Gala Dinner and a number of other schemes will seek to raise money to support children in taking part, and will particularly support disadvantaged children.
