GALA DINNER 2023 FUND RAISER
Our annual Gala Dinner and Charity Auction is always a fantastic evening and this year’s event was no exception. Tickets sold out for the event quickly, with previous attendees snapping them up months in advance, and we managed to squeeze 280 into the event – the largest guest list we’ve ever had. The success and popularity of this event is clear to see, with no advertising for tickets needed and a waiting list.
This year all 3 Children’s Choirs, the Intermediate Choir and the Senior Choir took part, performing 2 really wonderful sets to a
captive audience.
We were incredibly grateful to TV star and presenter Stephanie Hirst and Dan Jarvis MP for leading proceedings. Their involvement was superb in their roles as host and auctioneer,
with fees because of the cost of living crisis.
The evening also contributed to the fundraising challenge to take up our invitation to represent Great Britain in the World Choir Games in Auckland, New Zealand in July 2024.
Thank you so much for donating raffle prizes, buying raffle tickets, donating to fundraising initiatives and special thanks to those that attended the evening. Final thanks to Rob Cooper for his support in running the technical aspects of the evening, to Dr. Al McNichol for supporting with sound and to Nick Tallant for helping with graphic design.

and having people of such stature leading really elevated the evening. Thank you also to those that donated raffle prizes and auction prizes, which included exclusive VIP tickets to the Royal Ballet in London and a number of other stunning auction lots. There was such a positive and exciting atmosphere in the room and feedback from the event has been so positive.
The evening was a great success, and raised vital funds that will provide bursaries for the growing number of children who are struggling
