We are now looking to take around 78 young people to represent not only our community
but Great Britain in the World Choir Games
in Flanders 2020. This is the most important choral competition in the world and it will be
the biggest competition in choral history with an expected 600-780 choirs taking part and around 45000 singers. The World Choir Games is widely known as the Choir Olympics and is the very pinnacle of Choral singing with the very best choirs from every part of the
world involved.
This is very clearly a very important event, perhaps the most important in BYC’s history and we are keen to ensure our young people have the opportunity to take part in what will be a life changing event. The cost of taking part in this event will be around £1200 per person which will include travel, accommodation, performance costs and insurance costs. This is where we need your help!
Sadly, for many of our young people and their families, the cost of taking part in such an event is far too much. BYC prides itself on ensuring that all children are able to take part irrespective of their financial backgrounds.
Individuals and Businesses can sponsor an individual child to take part and pay £250 towards their costs. We are really hopeful that we can find 78 sponsors who will support each of our young people on this life-changing trip.
Everyone who supports our young people in this way will get their name listed on BYC’s website, their name or logo list at important events and their name written on our tour t-shirts worn
in Flanders.
We will publicise your business through social media and ensure you are fully recognised for your contribution.
