GALA DINNER
One of the highlights of the BYC calendar is the Annual Gala Dinner which will take place this year on Saturday 20th May 2023 at the Holiday Inn, Barnsley. This is always a really special and exclusive evening of music, fundraising and support. Our hosts this year are the wonderful Christa Ackroyd and Dan Jarvis MBE who are both important supporters of the Choir, and the evening is being generously sponsored by ASOS.
The proceeds of the evening will go towards supporting lower income families’ access choir provision at BYC and also to raise funds towards the trip to Auckland, New Zealand which will allow young people from BYC to represent Great Britain
in the World Choir Games in 2024. We are desperately wishing to
make this trip a possibility however the reality is that for some families the costs will be impossible to meet. It is our mission to enable as many children as possible to take part.
The evening will consist of a drinks reception, a 3 course meal, a live auction hosted by our special auctioneer Dan Jarvis MBE, and dancing until late.
We have had some fantastic and unique auction lots
in the past and many are items that money can’t buy. We’re always grateful to our donors for supporting the auction with these fantastic prizes - please get in touch if you’re able to donate an auction lot this year.
Tickets for the Gala Dinner are priced at £35pp or for
a table of 10, it’s £315 so please do consider bringing
a friend along for a superb evening. Capacity is very limited and demand is usually very high. We hope that you’ll be able to come along and spend the evening with us on this very special night.
