Charlie is well known within Barnsley, working in the Education Sector throughout his career, most recently as Vice Principal of Horizon Community College but formally as Director of Performing Arts in Kingstone Specialist School for Performing Arts, and prior to that as a high performing Head of Music.
He has expertise in working in large scale projects, having worked with key stakeholders to help establish Horizon CC which was one of the largest capital investments in a school in Europe at the time.
We are so pleased to have Charlie working with us on this project. He has experience and expertise as a leader of real integrity,
as an outstanding musician and teacher, and as someone who is able to deliver complex projects. He has an extraordinary pedigree, always putting young people and the local community at the heart of his work. Welcome Charlie, and thank you for your support of the organisation.
WE ARE THRILLED TO HAVE ANNOUNCED THE APPOINTMENT OF A NEW TRUSTEE, CHARLIE BRAMMER, WHO WILL SUPPORT THE ORGANISATION WITH A REMIT ON THE NAVE DEVELOPMENT, BUT WILL ALSO MAINTAIN A BROADER ROLE ACROSS THE ORGANISATION.
The plans are really ambitious and whilst it is primarily about young people, we want the whole community to benefit from this, from youth groups, to adult choirs like Barnsley Singers, to dementia
support groups.
We would like local schools and regional and national organisations to use the building as a hub for vocal excellence and access a world class space with world class opportunities. We have plans for it to be a place that really does serve the community and make a difference.
We are grateful to colleagues at Barnsley MBC who have worked tirelessly to develop a compelling case and a high-quality application which has secured this funding. This will be a landmark building that will have a huge impact on the community that we serve, driving ambition and opportunity.
Thank you to so many who have completed surveys, and been so supportive of this exciting project. We are incredibly excited to get started and work towards an opening date in 2025.
